Given the quality of his earlier remix of Tefasye’s “The Hills,” it’s unsurprising that RL Grime’s “Starboy homage plays out successfully. Perhaps the most intriguing moment of RL Grime’s set, was his edit of Daft Punk & The Weeknd’s “Starboy.” Dutifully transposed and mixed with trap producer Vincent’s “Alpha,” Steinway’s second nod to Abel Tefasye is a well-tuned, formidable offering. ![]() With a setlist ranging from chart-topping singles from Migos and Rae Sremmurd, to 808-infused remixes of Tiga and Gesaffelstein, Steinway left no stone unturned in crafting his expectedly energizing melange of trap, rap, and varied other influences in his hour onstage. ![]() On New Year’s Eve 2016, Henry Steinway brought his RL Grime performance Texas’ Lights All Night festival alongside fellow high-profile names such as deadmau5 and Nero.
